Losing a loved one is always painful, especially when you are living in another country due to life's circumstances. My father-in-law lived in London while we were in abroad. Handling all the arrangements online and by email with funeral directors from outside the UK was a real challenge. Tom was a lifeline from our very first contact. His extensive knowledge and the support he provided were invaluable and made every step of the process so much easier. They offer a warm, personal, and welcoming setting where family and friends could say their final goodbyes to their loved one. We also requested a priest to give the final blessing, and they kindly arranged that as well. They also coordinated with the repatriation of the ashes to my father-in-law’s to his country of birth and everything was handled smoothly and professionally. They made the entire process as easy as possible for us. It is no surprise that they have remained in business for 12 generations. We can only express our heartfelt gratitude, congratulate them on the exceptional service they provide, and encourage them to continue supporting families with the same compassion and professionalism they showed us.

I recently trusted A France & Son to take care of my Mum and the arrangements for her funeral and I can't thank Jason & Tom enough for their care. Having them to speak to was incredibly important for me in the way I process things, their compassion and especially Jason's reassurances helped me to relax and carry out Mums wishes in the way she wanted her day to go. Jason really did the best for me and all of his caring suggestions and attention to detail on the design of the order of service and flower arrangements were quite outstanding, he totally understood that I wanted things to be "memorably modest", "thank you again Jay". I would like to thank our four drivers and special thanks to my limousine driver Danny who recognised that "I like to chat" and he engaged with me on mine and my daughters most difficult car journey, Cheers Danny. Our celebrant Faye Cox did Mum proud and conducted our proceeding with lovely dignity and calmness and the poem she wrote personally after hearing our memories of Mum was such a beautiful heartfelt touch, Thank you Faye. Jason oversaw the funeral of my Dad and took care of everything for me from during the long 6 week run up to on the day and afterwards handling/minding his ashes. I wasn't able to travel in to meet much before the funeral due to being heavily pregnant but he was always available to answer my questions and guide me through such a difficult and emotional time. As my Dad was from Holborn, he had a great instinct on what he would have liked and as they have previously handled other members of my family funerals we were able to keep that continuity and thread of tradition which I knew would have been so important to him. The day was handled so smoothly and respectfully - it'll stay in my memory forever thanks to Jason and the team there.

A France and Son recently handled the funeral for my late Father. As a family we were treated with kindness, empathy and courtesy by Tom France throughout the process of making the arrangements. Everything was explained clearly and any questions promptly answered. On the day, the cars were punctual and were immaculate, and we were well looked after by Martin and Callum. The flowers provided by florist Maria Ford exceeded expectations and were exquisite. The funeral service was exactly as we requested. We are extremely grateful to Tom and the team for their help, professionalism and kindness and for giving our beloved Dad such a beautiful send-off.
