Macintyre Memorials Ltd

Macintyre Memorials Ltd is a family-run memorial mason based in Glasgow. Established in the mid-1980s, the business is one of the last fully independent headstone manufacturers in Scotland. Most memorials are made to order on the premises. The company offers a professional and meticulous cleaning service for memorials. Its main services include bespoke headstones, gravestones, memorials, plaques, markers, vases, and headstone renovations.

Headstone cleaning and regilding, alongside the creation of new memorials, form the core of the work described by those who have used Macintyre Memorials Ltd. A point made in several accounts is the patience shown when clients are deciding on inscriptions and designs, with staff taking time to explain the available options clearly and without pressure. A number of customers describe the advice given as sound and practical, helping them reach a decision that felt right for the family.

The finished work is repeatedly praised for its quality, whether a weathered headstone has been restored or a new memorial supplied, and the standard of craftsmanship is noted as a strength. Reliability runs through the accounts, including one instance where a family was kept informed throughout a difficult period by telephone and online consultation, with contact maintained despite the restrictions in place at the time.

Tidiness and care on completion are also mentioned, and the manner of the staff is consistently described as friendly, helpful and accommodating. The ability to accommodate individual requests, from specific lettering to particular finishes, appears in more than one account, and the overall impression is of a business that combines technical skill with genuine sensitivity towards the bereaved. Regilding and lettering work on older stones feature among the tasks that customers highlight as particularly well executed.
