I am extremely disappointed with the Muslim burial section at South Bristol Cemetery. There appears to be very little management or maintenance, and the area has been left in a poor condition for years. What is even more frustrating is the way complaints are handled. You are told that someone will call you back, but that simply doesn't happen. I have been waiting for nine years to be able to install a headstone on my father's grave because of the ongoing issues in the Muslim burial section. A cemetery should be a peaceful, respectful place where families can honour their loved ones. Sadly, this section has been neglected, and the lack of communication and proper management has caused unnecessary distress. I hope the council takes these concerns seriously and finally improves the maintenance, organisation, and customer service.

I just wanted to leave a message to say thank you to the groundmen that helped me today (I didnt take their names as i was all up in the air) but they will know who they are. My baby was locked in my car and they helped me get him out without it being any issue. It really restores my faith in humanity with acts of kindness like this I was very stressed and they were so helpful and calming 🙏 ❤️

I like South Bristol C&C it is peaceful and the staff are great, but it did look tired today. Loads of notices stuck on doors robbed some of the solemnity (a lot badly sellotaped on). Toilet seats in the men's loo that were barely attached. A tiny bit of thought and care could make the experience much nicer for those in a difficult time.

An appreciation post for Michelle who works here , she was just absolutely amazing to Sarah picking her sisters Ashes up , such a tragic time for her and you were just so kind, caring and non judgmental. Thank goodness there are people like you in the world . You have made Sarah’s tragedy a little more bare able keeping her sister safe for months untill she was told and came to collect , it’s really gave her some peace . Thank you 🫶

Went to my parents grave on 10th March 2024 and several things are missing from around the stone ie: 3 metal stake flowers and a plant which was in a pot. Were these taken by staff or vandals. Not happy. Have been to the Cemetery again today 7th June 2024, what a mess!! The grass has been cut and just left to dry, thistles at least three feet tall in between the graves, I suppose this is what we will have to expect now that we have a Green Council. It seems that the newer plots are kept tidier that the ones that have been there for some time. Such a shame.
