Such a lovely and beautiful place very well maintained and looked after I’m blessed my father rests there 🙏🏾
I’m a funeral celebrant and today led my first service at South London Crematorium. I was struck at how nice and well maintained the chapel was. Anna the chapel attendant was very welcoming and helpful, and did a great job with music cues etc. Hope I get to officiate at more services here.
We have supported many families whose service was held at South London Crematorium. The staff were calm, respectful, and everything ran smoothly — a real help at such a sensitive time. Afterwards, some families chose to scatter the ashes at sea, particularly for Hindu rites where clean waters are preferred. South London Crematorium provided a peaceful and dignified starting point for that final journey. Ashes At Sea
As a Funeral Director, I work closely with many crematoria, and I can honestly say that the team at South London Crematorium are consistently professional and supportive. I would like to mention Ana, who is truly a credit to the crematorium. She is always kind, patient, and incredibly helpful to not only us as funeral directors, but most importantly to the families.
We held my father ceremony at the crematorium a couple of weeks ago. Anna was so kind and patient with us, she showed us around the chapel twice, going through every details with us, always with a smile. We could see that she cares about her job. On the day, she remembered everything we talked about and took the pressure off us. When we changed the date to Sunday, Anna and the team were very accommodating too. We honestly couldn't have chosen a better crematorium. The surroundings is beautifully maintained and the large car park is a bonus.
Why is the front of the cemetery always kept pristine, whilst the rest is totally ignored? The grass is left to grow so long that it is difficult to walk to my parents' and grandfather's graves. It is unfair for those visiting the graves, and totally disrespectful to those buried in the graves. My sister-in-law's resting place is at the cemetery in Leatherhead, and the whole of the cemetery is always very well maintained. The plots at this cemetery are expensive, yet the maintenance for a great part of the cemetery is unacceptable and appalling.
