Chris was my closest friend for over 40 years, and as one of his executors we were suddenly faced with making funeral arrangements whilst dealing with the shock and sadness of losing him. From our very first conversation, Philip was kind, compassionate and reassuring. He took the time to listen, understand who Chris was, and what mattered to him. Chris was a larger-than-life character with many friends, a wicked sense of humour and a strong personality. It was important to us that his funeral reflected that, and Philip helped make that happen. Nothing ever felt rushed or like a problem. He guided us through every decision with patience, warmth and professionalism, making what felt overwhelming much more manageable. On the day itself everything ran smoothly and with dignity, allowing us to focus on celebrating Chris’s life and saying goodbye. So many people commented on how fitting and personal the service felt. Losing Chris has been heartbreaking, but knowing he was in such safe and caring hands brought enormous comfort. We will always be grateful to Philip and everyone at Sussex Funeral Services for helping us give our beautiful boy the send-off he deserved. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Sussex Funeral Service recently helped me with the passing of my mother. From the beginning to when we said goodbye to her, Philip guided us through the whole process. He was very professional, kind and understanding of where I was at emotionally. His personal touches, tone and kindness made it very special. He went above and beyond and made me feel he was doing what he would do for his loved ones in that situation. I'm in awe of the service he gave me. The cost was very affordable and something I didn't need to worry about. Thank you Philip, I was very fortunate to find you.
Phil and Sally were amazing. The funeral went perfectly, everyone was so impressed at their knowledge of the Hindu religion and the great service. They really went out of their way to make it super special for us. Highly recommended!
Phil and Sallie guided me and my wife's sister through the most difficult time of my life as we sadly had to organise my wife's funeral. They helped us organise the funeral my wife would have wanted with just the right amount of support and suggestion. They couldn't have been better. Highly recommended, 5 stars is insufficient.

He was very thorough, efficient and friendly and we had every confidence that all would go smoothly. He was available to answer our questions at any time.
