I was searching for a really good stone mason having looked around A elfes monumental a family run business kept coming up and I've heard so many good things about them. I'm so glad I did go with these especially dave who runs the place what a diamond guy very helpful and polite .what you see is what you get which I like . Always kept you up to date especially with this covid 19 about which was a little delay on the stone but the end result was superb thay have done a great job on my dads head stone I'm a very happy customer would I recommend ABSOLUTELY . I contacted Steve (the owner of the business) and I was happy to come in and get a quote done for an Ash Grave. Firstly, he never explained the prices and secondly he tried to argue with me that 99% of the ash graves are about 4 foot tall and it seemed like I was forced to purchase it as I was looking for only a simple small ash grave and there were many around that was all different sizes, especially a lot smaller. I had to show him the area of the ash grave to prove to him which I was annoyed. Shortly after, I have received the quote by post of a 4 foot tall stone and I told him it is out of my mother’s budget. After he sent one again of a 2 foot stone which was only down by nearly £200? I also said it is still way out of my mothers budget. I tried to call and his son picked up and told me to send an email about it so I could at least make some changes to lower it down. They didn’t get back to me at all and dropped it! So inconsiderate and rude. I definitely will never recommend anyone to this company to get a head stone done as they clearly don’t want to follow your perspectives. Very unreliable, he was not helpful at all and clearly didn’t want to do business with me!
