The loss of a loved one is invariably the most difficult thing one can ever have to deal with. When my dad died in October 2025, AC James & Son was recommended by my aunt and, candidly, as I did not know them I was not inclined to go with them. I wanted to go with one of the other well know outfits. As it transpired those outfits charge you a small fortune while offering softly spoken condolences that dont ease the pain of the cost. Mr James was BY FAR THE CHEAPEST and there was absolutely nothing lacking in class, quality, kindness or understanding. With Mr James, the care and attention to detail was exceptional. The way he literally took care of everything that needed to be done was amazing. The coffin, the hearse, the flowers, the livery of the staff of the day; all of it was top class. It made the whole process lighter and easier than it otherwise could have been. I cannot recommend this Funeral Director highly enough, if you want a high quality funeral but dont want to be paying for it for years to come then do choose AC James & Sons.
