We recently used Coventry Funeral Services to handle the funeral and cremation of our recently departed mother, and must say that not only were we treated with empathy and consideration throughout, the entire process was handled in a highly professional and respectful manner. The initial interaction with Mandy and Jemma immediately put us ease and gave us the impression that everything would be handled with care, leaving us more than happy to entrust our mum’s body into the care of the above once the hospital had informed us it was ready for release. Our interaction with Tom thereafter continued in this vein, and our queries and requests regarding the format and content of the funeral service were listened to and fully accommodated. This compassionate manner of dealing with us, attention to detail and professionalism continued through to the funeral itself, which was overseen by Tom and Jemma, with Glynn performing the role of celebrant, resulting in just the type of quiet and dignified send off we wanted for our mum. To recap, then, Coventry Funeral Services made a very difficult time much easier to deal with, thanks, and we have no hesitation in recommending this excellent company and all those who work there. I Only discovered Coventry Funeral Services by accident. But I’m so glad I did! They arranged flowers, order of service, minister, et cetera, which made my job so much easier. Everything went flawlessly, the staff and minister were so understanding and professional and even after the funeral, the support was still there. We recently used Coventry Funeral Service (CFS), who are part of Coventry City Council, to help us over at the University of Warwick when one of our new students sadly and tragically passed away at the end of October. It was extremely distressing and upsetting because the family, who speak no English, had to travel half-way around the world to come and deal with something no parent should ever have to, especially in a foreign land and with absolutely no idea of the processes and protocols in place. From the moment I contacted Jemma, right through to when Tom, the Funeral Home Manager, so kindly helped us with the interment of ashes, they were just brilliant in every single way. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They worked late one night to help the family with an exception, and the little details were so thoughtful and caring regarding ensuring the student's passion was recognised at the ceremony. I've written to the Chief Executive of Coventry City Council earlier today to express what a professional and caring service CFS are providing on behalf of the Council - They are only one of two local authorities (the other being Brent Council in London) who are currently operating to deliver a cost-effective, comprehensive service for their communities. I cannot speak highly enough of them. Thanks again Tom, Jemma and the rest of the team!
