I honestly don’t know where to begin. My dad passed away after a very short illness in April, and we chose Desmond Bannon’s as our funeral directors. Initially, it was because my dad loved camper vans and they offered such unique hearses - including “Ernie,” which we chose for Dad’s final journey. What was the most heartbreaking and difficult time for our family became a genuinely healing experience because of the incredible support we received from everyone at Bannon’s, especially Zoe. From start to finish, the care, compassion, guidance, and advice we were given were simply outstanding. Every detail was handled with such warmth and professionalism, and we always felt completely supported. They even went above and beyond by suggesting we involve Dad’s wagon in the service, and they did everything possible to make sure his flowers could be attached to it. We were absolutely blown away by that level of thoughtfulness and care. Dad’s service became incredibly special and personal because of all the little details they helped bring together. The additional care they took in matching us with our wonderful celebrant, Nellie, was just out of this world. Nellie delivered the most incredible eulogy for Dad - it truly felt as though she had known him for years. In fact, every single person we met from Bannon’s made us feel that way, like we had known them forever. My dad deserved the very best, and Bannon’s truly gave him that. Their kindness and care are something we will remember forever, and we will always be deeply grateful for everything they did for us. They were a real light during the darkest of times. Every conversation with Zoe - whether at the White House or over the phone - somehow managed to bring comfort through tears, hugs, and even laughter. An additional shout out to Mike Bannon, who ensured everything was smooth as possible and led the most incredible procession. I never thought we would want to talk about dad’s funeral or this time afterward, but it is such a wonderful and happy memory we can’t stop talking about it. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You gave us everything we could have ever wanted and more importantly, what we really needed. Dad would have loved it so much. Desmon Bannon & sons arranged my lovely nans funeral recently and I wanted to express how professional, caring and also respectful all the staff have been throughout the whole process. What can I say the kindest most professional caring team of people ever. I felt they looked after my Dad like he was a member of there own family the respect care and compassion was fantastic and the support to us as a family was amazing. We were also advised after the funeral not to hesitate to to contact and pop in for a chat and a cuppa so nice. Sadly some time later I lost my brother and having such a positive experience we didn’t hesitate to use Bannons to provide an exceptional service and they didn’t fail. Nothing was too much trouble everything was perfect at such sad times the team where well turned out the cars were immaculate I really couldn’t find fault in anything. Bannons you’re truly the best you really are earth angels and you’re worth your weight in gold. You’re not just in it for the money you’re in the profession because you have hearts you care and your u treated my loved ones with such care and dignity and I’m forever grateful.

Thank you to the Bannons team. They looked after my dad a few months back, from start to finish they were outstanding on every level. Sally looked after us when we first arrived and explained everything to us clearly and precisely. Also clear, open and understandable pricing, we did go to a few other funeral directors but Bannons was by far the most reasonably priced we were quoted nearly £1000 pounds more by other directors. My dad was a massive Liverpool fan, they produced the most amazing LFC coffin that dad would have loved. Also, we were looked after by Mike on the day of his funeral, Mike was amazing at his job. Guided us through everything with such kindness and respect. Dad would have loved Mike was was and evetonian and walked him around Anfield, even leaving a rose at the feet of Bill Shankley. I can highly recommend Desmond L Bannon _ Broadgreen Road. From the moment they collected Dad after his passing they all showed care and compassion. From Zoe who arranged everything who was kindness itself, who even contacted me today to check how I was doing, to Michael the funeral director on the day who again showed kindness and compassion on a difficult day. We were able to take Dad to his house one last time (he was in a care home for over a year). Everything was very dignified. Nothing was too much trouble. Special gratitude goes to the people who prepared Dad for chapel, he looked like Dad again, the confused look of Alzheimer's had disappeared and we could tell he was at peace.We will be forever grateful for that. I know losing a loved one is a difficult time but they really did make things easier. Thank you

I can't express how grateful our family is for the exceptional service provided by Bannons. Laurence Bannon was remarkable, always available to offer support either through a phone call or WhatsApp, ensuring we felt cared for during this most difficult time. When we visited our mum in the chapel, we were overwhelmed by how beautiful she looked. It was as if she appeared 20 years younger, which brought us such comfort. The day of the funeral exceeded our expectations. We understand that bringing her back to her house was a significant challenge, and we are incredibly thankful for your dedication in making it happen. You truly went above and beyond. Additionally, taking the time to drive past our old family home, even though it was out of your way, meant the world to us.
