Clarke's Memorials did an excellent job adding an inscription to a pre-existing headstone. Richard took the time to explain the various options, to discuss the wording and to match the text and font to what was already there. They were very welcoming when I visited the workshop at Lawnswood and nothing was too much trouble. The finished work was high quality and the price was very reasonable too. I would definitely recommend.
I highly recommend M A Clarke & Sons, who have just completed restoration work on my grandparents' headstone. They carefully removed it, took it back to the workshop, restored and repainted the lead lettering, washed and returned it with a new plinth and ground anchor. Richard kept in touch throughout the process, and sent me a set of 9 photographs of the process, which were shared with the family.
Clarke's recently re-gilded the lettering on a gravestone in Nab Wood Cemetery, Shipley, at my request. It was a very professional service throughout and I am delighted with the result. Would highly recommend.
