I just wanted to say how grateful I am for the support I received from the Caversham branch. During a very difficult and emotional time, the team made the whole process feel a little easier. I’d especially like to mention Nikki. I honestly couldn’t have been in better hands. She was caring, patient and clear in her communication, and I always felt listened to and supported. That meant a lot. Lisa was also very professional during the service. She had a calm, reassuring presence and handled everything with dignity and care. Thank you to everyone at the branch for treating everything and everyone with respect.
I wanted a family based firm to handle my wife's funeral. Miles & Daughters fit that requirement perfectly. The arrangements were flawless and all our friends and relatives commented on what a perfect event it was to celebrate her life. Lucie did a great job in co-ordinating the whole process from identifying the perfect Celebrant to producing a beautiful Order of Service and on the day their team was polite, efficient and caring. I would like to highlight the Funeral Conductor, Lisa, as she was of great support to the family after the event and spent time to talk to all the attendees and ensure that we wanted for nothing. I on behalf of my mother and brothers would like to express my sincere thanks for the kindness and compassion shown to our family following the loss of our beloved husband and dad . Nikki guided and advised us during our initial meeting and was on hand for any queries before the day of the funeral. All staff on the day were very professional, kind and patient and ensured the service ran smoothly and with dignity Finally a huge thank you to Colin Hawkins the celebrant who was absolutely amazing and ensured the service was a fitting tribute to our loved one . We cannot thank Lucie enough at Winnersh for her assistance with the funeral for my partner Caroline. From the initial meeting with my daughter Rebecca she comforted us and took us through the process with empathy. She helped us to choose the crematorium, which was perfect, and the celebrant Kathty that led an absolutely amazing celebration of Caroline's life. Also the carriage team were excellent, being kind and offering support whenever it was needed. We cannot thank Miles and Daughters enough for everything that they did from start to finish, and I would not hesitate in recommending them to friends and family in the future.
My sisters & I cannot say thank you enough to Lisa and the team for all the care and support given to us following the recent passing and funeral of our Dad. Dad had already made contact with Lisa prior to passing and said immediately that she was the right person to look after him when the time came, and he was right. From the moment we walked in for the first meeting, it felt more like you were meeting a friend and being cared for like she was also part of our family & wanted the best for dad. Every detail was covered, the support was constant, the warm smile and hugs from Lisa kept us going. Dad was looked after by all the team & we knew he was in safe hands. Lisa also gave us the details of Colin Hawkins who is an incredible celebrant they work with. Colin & Lisa made the funeral feel so personal and special, it was a celebration despite the tears, dad would have been proud. Sadly for us one of our cousins also passed away not long after our dad but we were pleased to know Miles & Daughters were also looking after her. Thank you so much to Lisa & all the team, including Doug who was a comfort to speak to when we first phoned up & also to the lovely young lady driver who got dad safely to the crematorium even whilst being followed by over 50 of his motorcycle friends.
