What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Cremation and burial services at this Reading cemetery are consistently described in reviews as respectful, well organised and sensitively handled. The grounds themselves emerge as a recurring theme: reviewers repeatedly mention that the cemetery and its chapels are clean, peaceful and carefully maintained, with several noting that the sense of calm is felt from the approach road onwards. Staff receive frequent praise for their compassion and professionalism, particularly when families are arranging cremations or the burial of ashes.

One reviewer describes how helpful the team was over multiple visits from another part of the country, while another highlights the empathy shown during emotionally demanding arrangements. The facilities also draw positive comment, with the modern, clean toilets and car park noted as practical additions. A detail many reviews return to is the dignity maintained during services, including the provision of a covered outdoor area with speakers for those unable to sit inside the chapel. The allocation of specific sections for Muslim burials is mentioned as a valued feature. Reviewers also comment on the peaceful atmosphere during visits to family graves, describing the cemetery as a fitting final resting place.

The staff couldn't have been more helpful in arranging the burial of family ashes. Everyone I spoke to was friendly, empathetic, professional and efficient. Just what you need when dealing with emotionally laden arrangements.

Nice well maintained grounds, slightly on the silly side with the 'unsafe tombstone' H&S nonsense and don't like the opening times at the start and end of summer. 5pm is understandable in December but not in March and October

I come here every now and again to tend to the grave of my mother. I speak to her about everything that's happened, and even have a heart to heart about how much I miss her. It's so tranquil and peaceful there every time. I also like the fact they have a remember book on each date. So you can see who's passed on.

Came for a visit few weeks ago to pay respects to my grandfather who is buried in the war memorial. I was quite shocked to see that the garden of Remembrance trees and bushes had been taken down ,, it looked bare and couldn't find my other relatives because of it. Most of the tall trees have gone also , instead they've built another concrete building of some sort which makes the cemetery look ugly. And it just looks like a production line of graves in the newer part . Very disappointing I must say.
