The Hurlet Crematorium

The place was lovely and views too. Unfortunately once the body was lowered there was a distinct burning smell which went on for the whole period of the congregation queuing to exit , which ruined the whole thing. I can’t recommend this crematorium , it saddened me greatly, who wants to smell their loved one burning .

Beautiful scenery. and the garden's are kept Beautiful lovey and calming inside tranquil atmosphere and the large scenic window is amazing staff are very compassionate

Perfect, peaceful setting. The staff were wonderful.

It was the perfect send-off for my dad. The place was beautiful, with a lovely peaceful backdrop — even the cows in the background made it feel special and calm. Everything ran so smoothly from start to finish, and I was able to collect Dad’s ashes the next day. I can’t thank everyone enough for making such a difficult day feel so meaningful.

I have been to a few services at the Hurlet Crematorium, it is lovely crematorium with a beautiful setting, the main reception has a beautiful view which creates a calm and peaceful atmosphere. The staff are wonderful and nothing is too much for them to help your loved one be remembered the way you wish. The grounds and memorial gardens are well maintained and peaceful.

As a funeral celebrant, I must say The Hurlet Crematorium is one of the nicest, if not the nicest, crematoriums I've had the honour of conducting a service in. It's light, bright, airy, and spacious, and there is a beautiful calmness and peace about the place, both within its grounds and garden and inside. The staff are professional, personable, and attentive. It is easy to appreciate why the Hurlet has been voted Scotland's Best Crematorium. It's full marks from me. Keep up the great work, everyone!

The Hurlet Crematorium is a beautiful and peaceful place, with a stunning memorial garden and breathtaking views over the fields. These surroundings create a sense of calm that makes difficult moments feel just a little easier. All the staff at Hurlet are incredible. We said our goodbyes to my uncle here, and throughout the entire process, they were kind, supportive, and attentive to every detail. As a funeral celebrant, I’ve also had the privilege of working alongside the team at Hurlet. Their dedication and compassion shine through in everything they do, ensuring every service is handled with care and respect. They truly put their hearts and souls into their work, and I can’t recommend them highly enough.
