Memorials by P.Houldey

Memorials by P.Houldey is a memorial masonry business owned by Paul Houldey, a local memorial mason based in Cotteridge, Birmingham. The business was opened in March 2007. At the time of writing, Paul Houldey had worked in the monumental masonry business for 15 years.

The business specialises in hand carving and is experienced in polishing, shaping and sandblasting. It provides headstones, memorials, kerbsets, cremation plaques and renovations, and serves all areas of Birmingham and the West Midlands. Customers can see the mason at work and view the different stages of their memorials' progress.

A family in Birmingham commissioned a headstone for their mother through Paul, a memorial mason working independently. The account covers the crafting of the headstone and its completion within eight months, a timescale that other stonemasons were quoting at around fourteen months.

The finished headstone is described as beautiful, and the stonemason is praised by name for producing it within that period, with the family thanking Paul directly for the work. The feedback concerns memorial stonework, the personal involvement of Paul from commission through to completion, and the shorter wait achieved compared with the longer estimates given elsewhere, alongside the quality of the finished memorial.
