4.9 / 5 · 437 totalWe chose Poppy’s to direct the funeral of my 25 years old son. As a family we had a clear idea of how we wanted the memorial to look and, throughout the process, we found the staff compassionate, collaborative and extremely kind. Our funeral director, Hannah, was happy to accommodate all of your requests whilst also making some lovely suggestions to enhance the service. At the same time, Hannah handled the practicalities in an efficient manner, leaving the family to celebrate the life of our wonderful boy.
I recently used Poppys to arrange the funeral of a loved one, and I couldn't have asked for a more supportive and professional service. From start to finish, everything was handled with kindness, transparency and care. During such a difficult time, we felt genuinely supported and looked after throughout the entire process which was new to us. Our funeral director, Maia, was exceptional. She was compassionate, attentive, and guided us through every step with professionalism and understanding. Every member of staff we interacted with was equally kind and helpful. Thank you to Poppys. I would highly recommend their services.
We contacted Poppy’s funerals following our Mum’s death in March 2026. I had heard an interview with Poppy on Dilys Barrett’s ‘Living With Dying’ Podcast. A personal recommendation from a friend of my brother’s convinced us further and we asked them to take care of Mum’s funeral arrangements. Taking Care, is exactly what Poppy’s managed, with unfailing sensitivity, kindness and attention to detail. They came to our family house the day after Mum died and enabled us to mark her final journey from the home she had known for over 60 years as a family. They stood back when it was appropriate and made suggestions when they could be helpful. They also allowed us to follow them to their mortuary in Tooting and help in preparing Mum’s body to be stored. Later, they offered their chapel of rest on for us to see Mum again. At the funeral itself they were excellent, sensitive and helpful as we carried Mum’s coffin and, later, lowered into the grave she was to share with our Dad who had died three years before. I would thoroughly recommend Poppy’s to any family or friends who are looking to plan a funeral for someone they love.
I would like to thank Poppy’s for their amazing service. From the very first conversation, I felt reassured, listened to, and confident we had made the right choice. They guided me through every step with compassion and clarity, offering exceptional support throughout. Their advice and care were truly second to none. I would highly recommend Poppy’s to anyone seeking a thoughtful and supportive funeral service.
Poppys were just wonderful. Jane and Amy in particular. They looked after all the detail leaving my daughter and I free to pay our respects properly. (and their price was £1000 cheaper than the Co-op!) It might be strange to say you enjoyed a funeral but with Poppys I think I actually did!
Poppy’s looked after my father in November ending beginning of December 2025. Lily was our first point of contact, she is absolutely amazing, emails, telephone calls, we’re always on time, she gave us all our options and was so delightful. We were directed to our funeral Director Amy, again Amy is such a lovely warm person, her compassion and an absolute great listener! I told her all about my father, who was an outstanding man, an amazing father and grandad. Amy listened, whilst I cried, just listened. Overall Poppy’s is an absolute amazing funeral home, The guidance, and there sincerity which speaks for itself. I know I already said thank you. But thank you so much for looking after my father. Wish I could give more stars.. it would a 10 and more!!!
It is hard to find the right words to express how grateful I am to Poppy's. From the moment that my husband passed away at Trinity Hospice to the final moments of his funeral and cremation, Poppy's have been there to gently hold my hand and guide the family through every aspect of this very difficult time. They are kind, compassionate and also extremely knowledgeable. I loved how natural and dignified everything was and how much care was given to reflecting a truly personal experience. We had a church service and the team were so dignified and respectful. The coffin and flowers were absolutely beautiful and every single aspect of the day was thought through and considerate. Thank you Poppy's for making this very difficult time of our lives so much more bearable and for giving my husband a beautiful and dignified send off. We are all truly grateful.
