Dissapointed in how my mum was treat while been in there care. A date was arranged to collect my mums body from the hospital yet it was a week after that date when she was collected. We were told that they like to emblm within 24hrs to get the body ready for viewing which we paid for. It was 5 days after been in ther care that this happened and when we arranged the first visit we were told it would be best not to see my mum as she had already broken down which was all down to the length of time from collecting her to then not embalming straigjt away to preserve my mums body which we paid over £200 for. When went to view there was no soft playing music and the room was next to the room where they park the cars so heard staff talking and laughing and opening and closing of doors so felt there was no privacy and respect. We then arranged for my mums doll that she loved to be in the herce with her but they forgot to bring it. All in all i felt i let my mum down in not giving her the aftercare she deservd.

During one of the most difficult times in our lives, everyone at the funeral home showed us such kindness, compassion, and professionalism. They treated Mum with the utmost dignity and made every step of the process as easy as possible. A special thank you to Krystle, who looked after me and my family with such genuine care and compassion. I honestly don't know how I would have got through it without her support. She went above and beyond, and I will always be grateful for her kindness. The service was beautiful, and thank you for helping us give Mum the farewell she truly deserved. Having recently lost a very dear friend, I wanted to thank Krystle for her amazing compassion, empathy and care throughout. Krystle helped my friends daughter make all arrangements and looked after us all so well, going above and beyond. We hadn't been through anything like this before so didn't have a clue where to start but from walking in to the building to the day of our dads funeral Krystle made everything so easy for us. We were guided with care, compassion, kindness, patience, support and understanding which meant more than words could ever say and we will always be grateful. I’m writing a Google review for D Walsh and Sons funeral directors because they were incredibly kind to my dear mother who passed away at the end of May. Losing someone is always difficult and I don’t know how my family, and I would have coped without Krystle Shaw. From the outset everything was perfect. I felt my mother was well cared for and the guidance and support we received leading up to the funeral, during the service and afterwards were simply superb. As it was my first time losing a dear one I was lost, the support empathy and guidance I received really helped me get through an incredibly difficult and emotional time. I can’t say enough about D Walsh and their services which ranged from supporting the family, organizing pamphlets booking the Service, cars, flowers and so much more . If you’re looking for a funeral director I highly recommend them. When you lose someone you love you want the best….a friendly knowledgeable and supportive funeral director to help you through it. Well what can I say? Where to start? D Walsh and Son were professional, but most importantly, to our family, respectful and caring from the moment we lost our Mum. It was important to our family that Mum was cared for with dignity. We knew from the moment the funeral director, Krystle Shaw, visited to make plans for Mum's funeral, Mum was in the right place with the right people. At one of the most difficult and emotional times in life, Krystle reassured us and explained transparently the process and cost involved. We were left knowing that Mum would get the send off she wanted and deserved. Additionally, that she would be cared for with dignity. Krystle was there when we needed information, reassurance or advice in the days leading up to the funeral. We felt like she became part of the family. A truly caring and genuine person. On the day of funeral, Krystle and the celebrant, Chris Bradbrook, were there to ensure the service ran smoothly. Our Dad was left feeling like his loving wife got the send off she so rightly deserved. They did Mum proud. The service felt personal and unique to Mum. Thank you Krystle at D Walsh and Chris for the truly caring service you provided for Richard's wife and our Mum, Kathy.
