This time, I was the one who had to plan a funeral — my mum’s funeral — and I had absolutely no idea where to start. I called a few local funeral directors, but J Lawrence immediately stood out as the most sincere and genuine. Not only that, but they were also the most affordable of the three companies I contacted. They were the only ones who didn’t ask for any money upfront, offering full payment two weeks after the funeral, whereas the others required a minimum of £1,850 upfront. I dealt directly with Alfie, who is only 21, but honestly, he really knows his stuff. He went above and beyond from the very beginning. He would call regularly to check in, update me about my mum, and see if there was anything at all he could do to help. I explained what I wanted, and he made it happen without hesitation. The day itself was perfect for my mum. The care, attention, and dignity they gave her was beautiful. The way they made her look, the warmth and elegance of the rooms — everything was handled with such respect. Nothing was ever too much to ask. I would recommend J Lawrence to absolutely everyone. They made an incredibly difficult time just that little bit easier, and I will always be grateful. I’m genuinely going to miss speaking with Alfie, but I wish him all the very best. From the bottom of my heart, thank you — to him and to the whole company — for taking such wonderful care of my mum.
Would like to thank John and the team for giving me the help and guidance that i've needed these last few weeks. Your kindness and care to my nanna after she passed away I will be forever grateful for. It was a comfort knowing she was with you. Today was perfect ,just as i wished it would be. I would totally recommend anyone to use your services.
Would like to thank john for taking on the funeral service for my late mum , after having to move from another director john was so compassionate and listened to what it was mum wanted for her celebration of life . The chapel where mum spent her last days was beautiful and peaceful calming the young lad whom also drove mums hearse and also looked after me when visiting mum in the chapel is an amazing young man , john took care of everything for me at this difficult time he even came and picked my mums dress up to dress her in . Our first visit to the chapel was very emotional but to see how beautiful the team made my mum look for her visitors in her resting place was just something else I have viewed many people in chapels of rest and I can honestly say it was the best embalming I have ever seen on a black person in all the years mum looked just as beautiful as she did when she was alive how they done that il never know but keep up the amazing work and you'll go for another 150 years . Will definitely be doing my plan for my day when it comes with Jonathan Lawrence's team Maxine &,family
