Would like to thank plymouth and district funeral services. During a very emotional time they were professional and respectful. They treated us not like a business transaction but as a grieving family. Sheryl and family looked after us and my Dad better than i would have hoped for during that time. As strange as recommendations go, i cannot thank them enough, and would highly recommend them for caring for your loved ones when the time comes.
What a fantastic service from start to finish. Cheryl is such a lovely woman and made this sad time a stress free experience. Everything was clearly explained and she kept me updated throughout the whole journey. I can't praise her and the team highly enough. Absolutely recommend this funeral directors. On contacting Cheryl I found her so kind and empathetic. She truly listened to what we wanted and arranged a motorbike to lead my motorbike mad brothers hearse. Nothing was too much trouble. Her team are equally kind and respectful. They treat your loved ones as their own and we are truly grateful for the wonderful send off they arranged for my much loved brother.
Plymouth and district funeral services took care of my mum when she passed and they have been wonderful. They showed compassion and empathy with not only Mum but the whole family. Nothing was ever too much and they were really flexible when working with us. Cheryl completed two small services (one at the chapel prior to cremation and one at the graveside) and it was done with care and respect, but also capturing humour along the way. My mum passed unexpectedly and from the very first phone call of trying to figure out which person to go with, it felt like the right choice from that moment. The person on the phone (not sure of the name as it’s a bit of a blur) from the first call explained everything in detail and went through the process with me without even us choosing them at that moment. They have made the death of a loved one and arranging their send off feel easier and comforting from the first phone call. Thank you for looking after Mum and always being so responsive to our big family.

I would give Plymouth and District Funeral Services a 100 stars if I could! I had to arrange my mothers funeral services from Canada and Cheryl went above and beyond to ensure that everything went ahead as scheduled so that I could bring my mum's ashes back to Canada with me. She even dealt with the registry and certification when an unexpected event happened, taking time out of her busy day to deal with this. She was so kind and compassionate . I cannot recommend Cheryl and her staff enough. A huge heartfelt thank you. Natalie
