Calling up out of hours on a Saturday afternoon with trembling hands and a wobbly voice, I was immediately put at ease by Darren, who answered my call. From the very beginning, my dad was treated with the utmost respect and dignity, and we as a family were met with such kindness, compassion, and understanding. We were gently talked through every step of the process and given all the information and reassurance we needed, knowing we could call at any time with questions or simply for support. Then we met Michael. What an incredible human being. He truly couldn't have done more for my dad or for us as a family. He kept in constant contact, giving us daily updates about Dad, telling us he'd sat and had a good moan with him that day (Dad did love a good moan!), or that he'd popped in just to say hello. Those little updates meant the world to us. They gave us such comfort and confidence that Dad was being cared for with genuine love, respect, and dignity. Michael made sure every single detail of my dad's final farewell was absolutely perfect. All the little touchest we wanted he made sure theybwhere in place. He also introduced us to John Beaver, the celebrant. Wow is all I can say. He was simply outstanding. He captured my dad's life so beautifully and personally that, instead of spending the day only mourning our loss, we found ourselves laughing and celebrating the wonderful life Dad had lived. It was everything we could have hoped for and so much more. Because of Michael and the entire team, Darren, Diane, Mark, Jack and John, my dad had the most amazing and special send-off. There are simply no words to express our gratitude for everything you did for him and for all of us. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. You turned one of the hardest times of our lives into something filled with compassion, dignity, and care. We will never forget your kindness, and we will be forever grateful. Xx

I have experienced the excellent all-round service, detail and compassion that Harold P. Heywood provided in 2020, when my father passed away. So there was no doubting whom I would only trust with the funeral arrangements again after my mother past away this May. Michael (Funeral Director) has the ability to present (face to face) all aspects of the funeral arrangements in a calm, compassionate and empathetic way, with many areas you may forget given the grief and emotions being felt at the time. The choices and quality of all items from coffin, ashes box, on line tributes, order of service etc. are second to none, and each item is looked at in detail. I also must recommend that Michael can turn a fairly ordinary photo of a loved one into something much more special and poignant. One area I personally highly rate is Michael's (and team) sense of traditional dress, and being highly respectful and showing real honour to the deceased and family and friends before, during and after the service, it brings a very special element during the funeral, and makes a lasting mark on family and friends Harold P. Heywood are a small family Funeral Directors, and if you want that absolute personal touch for your loved one to be handled in a 'family way', please do not look any further the Harold P. Heywood, I highly recommend that you at least sit down and talk to them when the situation arises

Heywoods are like a family to you , Michael was responsible for my brother’s funeral, Geoff Bolton , and myself and family can’t thank him enough , for’ being there ‘ every step of the way , and helping us through it all. Well what can I say Harold p.Haywood family funeral service they treated me like I was one of there own. I had the pleasure of meeting Michael who was amazing he made me feel at ease and reassured that my late dad would be looked after as if was part of there family. Michael took me through everything step by step and made this experience really easy for me he took pressure of me which made me feel at ease. My dad was looked after and cared for and he had the perfect send off. Michael and his team were perfect in every way very respectful and thoughtful. I can’t say thank you enough.
